About Liveclicker Email Express
Liveclicker Email Express allows site operators to easily create highly interactive GIF animations for emails (commonly called "Video for Email" or "Video clips"). Unlike existing tools for creating animated GIFs, Liveclicker offers an integrated solution that allows users to customize the GIF animations, optimize their delivery, and effectively track usage statistics within email - all from a common Web browser and without the need to install any additional software. After dropping a simple HTML tag into the email body, Liveclicker users may use their existing email service provider yet benefit from the richness and effectiveness of email enhanced with video.
While there are other solutions in the market today, the Liveclicker solution is unique in three ways.
- First, Liveclicker is the only solution which allows the creation and delivery of these video clips online, using a web interface to upload the video that needs to be converted to an animated GIF and configuring a wide range of parameters for the clip (frames per second, clip length, color-depth, static post-roll, play button, cropping, etc). When the creation process is complete, typically within a few minutes, the video clip is hosted on the Liveclicker service servers and ready to be embedded in any HTML email via a simple copy/paste (image HTML tag).
- Second, Liveclicker is the only solution to automatically optimize the size and the quality of the animated GIF that's ultimately delivered to the final user based on the email client characteristics and the connection speed. This process is done automatically when the video is created or within a few minutes or hours is a post-processing mode.
- Third, Liveclicker is the only solution to effectively measure and report the number of times a video clip was played for a campaign, and most important, how much of the video has been downloaded by the email client.
Whitelabel Integration Overview
If you are an Email Service Provider, a marketing agency or more generally, a technology or services platform looking to enhance your offering with Video Email capabilities, you may be interested in white-labeling the Liveclicker Email Express solution. White-label versions of Email Express offer the same functionality as Liveclicker's Email Express, with the added benefit of custom branding.
The login screen can be customized to look your brand:
The application page can also be branded with your custom header as well as your application's look and feel.
Even smaller details such as Support contacts, email alerts or even server URLs can entirely hide the Liveclicker name and replace it with your product or service name.
The Integration Process
Program Requirements
There a few simple requirements to participate in Liveclicker's white-labeling program.
Business Requirements
- Enter a licensing agreement with Liveclicker Inc. If you are interested in the program, please visit our contact page to receive the partnership agreement for review.
- Promote and market the video email service to a vast base of potential clients. At this moment Liveclicker is interested in working with channel partners with a significant customer base.
- Comply with Liveclicker's content guidelines when using the service directly or indirectly. Some of these guidelines are:
- No pornography or sexually explicit content. Uploading or authorizing pornography or sexually explicit content is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate termination of your account.
- No hate speech. We don't permit hate speech which contains slurs or the malicious use of stereotypes intended to attack or demean a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or nationality.
- No predatory behavior. There is zero tolerance for predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy, or the revealing of other users' personal information. Anyone caught propagating content of a predatory nature will be permanently banned from Liveclicker.
- Copyright. You certify that you are only uploading or authorizing content that you, your company, or an agent of your company (such as a video production company your company hired) produced and that you have permission to grant usage rights to.
Technical Checklist
You must provide the following information to Liveclicker Support (support@liveclicker.com) to create your whitelabel account. Once this information has been received, it will typically take one business day to create your whitelabel version of Liveclicker Email Express.
1 - The login screen stylesheet - Please use this example stylesheet and make sure you pay attention to the following details for modifying the appearance of the login page (you can see the traditional example here.
- #biglogo defines your splash screen logo. You will need to modify it to point to your application logo and potentially reset the margins and div heights and widths.
- We do not recommend changing the button shapes, but if you want to change it for the login page, and the login page only, alter the .bgButton class properties.
2 - The application stylesheet - Please use this example stylesheet and make sure you pay attention to the following details for modifying the appearance of the application:
- #logo defines the top header background with your logo. Similar to the login page, you will need to modify it to use your application logo and reset the margins and div heights and widths.
- .nav and .nav2 allow you to change the navigation colors, as well as the #submenu property set. Use them to customize the application and make it look consistent with other interfaces in your system.
3 - A custom domain (or subdomain) for the login screen. Acceptable choices are video.myservice.com or myvideoservice.com. Please note that you will need to change your DNS to point to the IP address 174.132.32.158 for this.
4 - A redirect domain for the actual video GIFs (optional). If you want to video GIF tags to point to a branded URL instead of Liveclicker's 'em.liveclicker.net', please provide a domain and make sure you point the IP address for that domain to the IP address 174.129.202.251.
5 - The name for your whitelabel product. This used throughout the product. A good example would be "XYZ Video Email".
6 - Your company and the URL of your company's homepage. This is used throughout the product to specify who is powering the product.
7 - A tagline for your whitelabel service. This is used mostly in email alerts. Examples of this would be "Advanced email solutions", etc.
8 - An email address for Support. Normally Liveclicker sends support requests to support@liveclicker.com. You need to provide a proper email address of your own.
Final Approval
After the above information has been received, Liveclicker will set up your white label version and you will be able to manage, create and edit your own accounts for your clients.
If some information is missing or incomplete, Liveclicker will contact you promptly and work with you to make sure the application is fully functional for you and your clients.
Ongoing maintenance
Your application domain (login procedures)
The domain or subdomain you have created for the application (and provided to Liveclicker) will be the primary location for accessing your admin console. It will also be used by your clients.
You, as the admin for the whitelabel, will use:

Your users, as clients of yours, will use:
http://xyz.myvideoemaildomain.com
As admin to the application, you will use your own username and password (the same as the one you use to login to Liveclicker Email Express).
Managing your accounts via the admin interface
The whitelabel admin interface allows you to accomplish the following tasks:
- Login to your customers' account, directly and in one click
- Access your clients' billing
- Create and edit your client's accounts, as well as set pricing policies
- Create user accounts for your clients
- Access important service alerts from Liveclicker (the news feed)
Please note that you cannot currently delete an account. If you need to delete an account, please contact Liveclicker support at support@liveclicker.com
Support
Liveclicker offers support to all its whitelabel partners, generally as a tier 2 or 3 support. Most frequently, you are responsible for handling directly your client's inquiries about the product then relay questions or concerns you are not able to directly address.
Billing
As a whitelabel partner you are directly responsible for billing your own clients, and set the proper price for each of your accounts within the boundaries of the licencing agreement with Liveclicker. Liveclicker will bill you as a whitelabel partner for all the costs to support your clients, as defined in the licensing agreement.
Advanced API
